Take a ride on the west side and all that South Connemara has to offer. West Coast Bike Hire provides a wide array of bike rental packages suitable for all those keen to spend a day (or week) exploring the hidden gems that the area has to offer.

West Coast bike hire is based in ‘Ionad Pobail Cill Chiaráin’ that is centrally located in the idyllic coastal fishing village that is Cill Chiaráin. As you drive into the village you’ll receive a first hand glance at the splendour and breath taking views that the area has to offer before you’ve even held onto a pair of handlebars.

West Coast Bike Hire offers a wide variety of cycling of cycling routes ranging from long to short. All routes have been cycled on numerous occasions by our team and also majority of the local population, both past and present, coursing through the villages of Ros Muc, An Aird Mhóir, Carna, Glinsk.

Along these illustrious and scenic trails are locally run B&B’s, a hotel, several shops and numerous beaches and piers, some marked and some hidden and waiting to be explored. Several beaches along the route can lead you onto the abandoned island that is Fínis, an island trapped in time since the early 50’s that offers an excellent host for a spot of lunch or an over night campsite.

Prices range between 15 to 20euro for a day rate, group and week/weekend rates are also available to enquire on site.
